Core Web Vitals are 3 metrics defined by Google to measure user experience: LCP (load time of the main content), CLS (visual stability) and INP (responsiveness to interactions). Since 2021, they are factored into SEO ranking calculations.

The most reliable test is Google PageSpeed Insights. A score below 50/100 on mobile is a warning sign. If your LCP exceeds 2.5s or your CLS exceeds 0.1, your site is being penalised. I carry out this measurement for free as part of an initial consultation.

Depending on the complexity of the site, allow 3 to 10 business days for fixes. Results on PageSpeed Insights are visible immediately after optimisation. The SEO impact on your Google rankings is noticeable 2 to 4 additional weeks later.
